Recently, I was invited by the highly acclaimed Middleton Lodge Hotel to host an evening of scent discovery. Guests were welcomed in the Main House, set within the beautiful grounds of the Georgian estate, and after drinks in the drawing room, I soon had everyone immersed in the world of fragrance. It was a joyful few hours, where I got to meet the most wonderful people who were all keen to learn more about the art of perfumery and home fragrance - all of whom left a little more knowledgable.

The Cardamom & Vanilla Vodka Sour mirrors the smooth, sensual depth of 4. SMOOTH / AMBERY - blending spice, warmth and soft sweetness in perfect harmony.
THE FRAGRANCE sees cardamom and smoky incense melt into creamy sandalwood, grounded by the smooth, vanillary warmth of tonka.
IN THE GLASS, those same comforting notes unfold through lemon, vanilla and crushed cardamom, creating a drink that feels as rich and enveloping as the scent itself.
Ingredients:
·50ml Nine Tines Vodka
· 25ml Lemon juice
· 15ml Sugar syrup
· ¼ tsp Vanilla extract
· Cardamom pod (crushed)
· Egg white (or foamer)
· Lemon twist to garnish
Method:
· Crush the cardamon pod and place in your shaker
· Add 50 ml of Nine Tines vodka, 25 ml Lemon juice, 15ml Sugar and a ¼ tsp Vanilla extract to your cocktail shaker
· Dry shake vigorously to combine all of the ingredients and create a luxurious foam
· Add a handful of ice to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until the shaker is well-chilled
· Strain from the cocktail shaker into the glass
· Leave for a few minutes to allow the foam to settle then garnish with a twist of lemon
